Ameesha Patel was born on 9 June 1976 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Ameesha was born in a Gujarati family. Ameesha’s father’s name is ‘Amit Patel’ and her mother’s name is ‘Asha Patel’. Ameesha has a brother named ‘Ashmeet Patel’. Ashmit is also an actor and model by profession.
Early Life and Education
Ameesha had also learned the dance of Bharatnatyam at the age of 5.
Ameesha completed her schooling from ‘Cathedral and John Connon School’, Mumbai. She has also been the head girl of the year 1992 – 1993 in her school. Ameesha then did her graduation from Tufts University, USA. After completing his studies, he worked in Khandwala Securities Limited for some time.

Ameesha Patel first acted in some theater plays. After this Ameesha was seen in some TV commercials. She has acted for big brands like Bajaj, Fair & Lovely, Cadbury, Fame and Lux. In the year 2000, Ameesha was seen acting in films for the first time. She first acted in the film Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai directed by Rakesh Roshan.
After this Ameesha Patel made her debut in Telugu cinema with the film Badri. In this film she acted with actor Pawan Kalyan.
In the year 2001, Ameesha was seen acting in her biggest film. She acted opposite Sunny Deol in the film Gadar – Ek Prem Katha directed by Anil Sharma. More than 500 girls were auditioned for the lead female role in this film, out of which only 22 girls were selected.
In the year 2001 itself, she acted in another film called Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar. Ameesha played the character of a singer in this film. The film was a complete flop at the box office.
