Family, Early Life and Education

Hema Malini was born in a Tamil Hindu Iyengar Brahmin family on 16 October 1948 in Ammankudi Tamil Nadu. Her father’s name is VSR Chakraborty. Her mother’s name is Jaya Chakraborty she was a film producer.

Hema-Malini is married to Bollywood actor Dharmendra. He has two daughters. Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Both his daughters are married. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are his two step-sons. Both are film actors.

Career

As An Actress: 

  • In 1968, he acted in the Raj Kapoor-directed film Sapne Ke Saudagar. The film proved to be a failure at the box office but Hema Malini as an actress was well received by the audience.
