Early Life and Childhood
Katherine Eunice Schwarzenegger was born on December 13, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her mother Maria Shriver is an author and journalist and her father Arnold Schwarzenegger is an actor. Katherine has two younger brothers, Patrick and Christopher, as well as a younger sister, Christina. She also has a half-brother named Joseph Baena from her father’s previous relationship. Katherine Schwarzenegger is the great-niece of the 35th US President John F. Kennedy. She attended ‘USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism’ and earned a degree in communications from there.
Career
In the year 2010, Schwarzenegger wrote her book ‘Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back.’ This book detailed her personal life experiences during her school days. Since Schwarzenegger had faced body shaming in her school, she used this book as a medium to encourage other women to gain confidence. In this book, Schwarzenegger has also described how she gained confidence by practicing yoga and walking exercises. In 2014, the American author released another book titled ‘I Just Graduated … Now What?: Honest Answers from Those Who Have Been There.’ This book was written with the aim of showing the right direction to young graduates and to help them navigate their path without stress. This book also contains insightful advice from successful people.
Schwarzenegger also wrote a children’s book titled ‘Maverick and Me’ in 2017. The book is about a dog named ‘Maverick’ which gets adopted and rescued by a kind-hearted stranger.
