Preity Zinta was born on 31 January 1975 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. His father Durganand Zinta was an officer in the Indian Army. His mother’s name is Neelprabha, who is a housewife. When she was just 13 years old, her father died in a car accident. So there her mother, Nilprabha, suffered serious injuries, due to which she remained in bed for two years. This accident changed Preeti’s life, because now the responsibility of the whole house had fallen on her shoulders. She has two brothers, Dipankar and Manish, one elder and one younger. Dipankar is an officer in the Indian Army and Manish lives in California.
Preity Zinta married American citizen Gene Goodenough 10 years younger than herself on February 29, 2016 in a private ceremony in Los Angeles. Both were married secretly.
