Family, Early Life and Education
Rajat was born on 18 February 1957 in Sabzi Mandi area of Delhi. Money was always tight in his house. He spent his childhood in a house of 100 square feet.
Rajat Sharma has completed his schooling from Sanatan Dharma Middle School. After that he completed his graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce. Arun Jaitley, who had been the Finance Minister of India, was Rajat ji’s senior in college. Rajat Sharma started working as a researcher after completing his M.Com degree. Seeing his talent, Janardan Thakur encouraged him to write in magazines.
Rajat Sharma’s wife’s name is Ritu Dhawan. Ritu Dhawan is the co-founder of the independent news service as well as the CEO and Managing Director of the channel.

- Rajat Sharma started his career as a trainee reporter in the fortnightly magazine Onlooker in the year 1982.
- He received the post of ‘Chief of Bureau’ of Onlooker in the year 1984 and the post of editor in the year 1985. and became editor in the third year.
- In 1987, he worked as the editor of ‘Sunday Observer’ and in 1989 as editor of ‘The Daily’. Here he did the work of editing till the year 1992.
- After this he started this Hindi TV program ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. Its first episode aired on 14 March 1993. In this show of Rajat Sharma, other people including big leaders, film stars, players, businessmen of the country have reached.
