Family, Sibling, and Husband
Shakti Mohan was born on 12 October 1985 in Mumbai. His father’s name is Brij Mohan Sharma and mother’s name is Kusum Mohan. Shakti has 4 sisters and the names of sisters are Neeti Mohan, Mukti Mohan and Kriti Mohan. Although Shakti Mohan is a resident of Delhi but has lived in Mumbai since 2006. Shakti has studied from the boarding school ‘Birla Balika Vidyapeeth’, Rajasthan.
Early Life and Education
Shakti has studied from the boarding school ‘Birla Balika Vidyapeeth’, Rajasthan. He has completed his graduation from ‘Mirinda House’, Delhi and has a degree in MA in Political Science from ‘St. Xavier’s College’, Mumbai.
Shakti had dreamed of becoming an IAS officer, But while studying at Mumbai University, she met Terence Lewis and that meeting gave Shakti a new dream. She was very good in studies and at the same time she was also a very good dancer.
Shakti also received a degree in ‘Diploma in Dance Foundation Course’ from ‘Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust’ in 2009.
As a child, Shakti had suffered a serious injury during an accident, due to which doctors said that she would never be able to walk again. With the help of her family and the courage she kept on himself, Shakti not only started walking but by learning dance, has also made herself a recognized dancer of the country today.
Career
In 2011, Shakti acted as ‘Kriya Ghai’ in Channel V’s dance serial Dil Dosti Dance. This serial was completely based on dance but this serial was also shown in a love format. Kunwar, Shantanu and Vrushika were in lead roles along with Shakti in this show. These three are also very good dancers.
Apart from this, Shakti had shown glimpses of her dance by going to shows like ‘Boogie Woogie’, ‘No More Kaamble’, ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, ‘Dance India Dance – Super Mom‘.
In 2015, Shakti Mohan worked as a mentor/judge on Star Plus’ dance reality show ‘Dance Plus‘. Shakti Mohan and Dharmesh Yelande have acted as mentors/judges for all the four seasons of the show. The show’s master was ‘Raimo D’Souza’. Shakti has started a workshop named ‘Nritya Shakti’.
Talking about the journey of Shakti Mohan, he has danced in item songs of many films. Shakti has danced in the songs of movies like ‘High School Musical 2’ (Hindi), ‘Tees Maar Khan’, ‘Rawdi Rathore’, ‘Kaanchi’, ‘Nawabzaade’. Shakti Mohan had choreographed the song ‘Nainovale Ne’ from the film ‘Padmaavat’, the first song as a choreographer.
Currently she is appearing on Dance reality show Dance 6 as a Mentor/Judge.
